PORTRAIT CLASS 2016
Hello my portrait class of 2016. I hope you are all home and rested, but that you have not forgotten all that we covered.
A big thanks for attending the portrait class this year. It was just the beginning of your journey and I hope you continue.
I will give some thought to offering another portrait workshop next year, but I don't make any promises a there are other workshops I would like to run.
Anyway, as promised here are some images to help you. They are not mine, but a combination of notes from Andrew Loomis books and also Asaro and Reilly method information I have found on the web.
NOTE: This page will only be available until Monday August 22.
Here are some examples of the ASARO head for your reference.
THE REILLY METHOD
If you remember, the Reilly method is all about seeing the rythms of the face. Here I have the ASARO head front view with the Reilly lines marked.
Unfortunately I could only find a small image of an example of the Reilly method for the profile.
HEAD PROPORTIONS - LOOMIS
These are the basic proportions of the head as found in my books by Andrew Loomis
HEAD PROPORTIONS OF CHILDREN - LOOMIS
These are the basic proportions of the children at different ages and gender as found in my books by Andrew Loomis. You may or may not find it useful, but here it is anyway. Since I simply took photos from the book, the images aren't great.
LOOMIS PAGE ON HANDS
As the heading implies, this is simply a page from an Andrew Loomis book on hands
This is the scone recipe that Nancy used during the week.
