TO THE SLUGA BEGINNERS CLASS OF 2019
Just a note to say a big thanks to you for attending my beginners class at my gallery in Yackandandah last week.
I did my best to try and get some import information across to you, but please remember that it will take time for these things to start working for you, but I encourage you to stick with it.
Anyway, below are some links to some notes and other bits and pieces.
Thanks again and I hope to see you again in another workshop.
If you are interested in receiving my newsletter, you can sign up here.
As I may have mentioned once or ten times in class, I have a youtube channel.
I would love this to grow to make all the work worthwhile. So please consider subscribing and share the videos with anyone that may be interested.
The name of the photo editing app that you can put on your phone or tablet that I mentioned in class - TOOLWIZ
WEBSITE OF TECHNICAL INFO
Here is a link to the website of the guy that has done all kinds of tests on paints etc. Remember that it is a huge website and don't get too caught up in the details...you will never paint.
Here is a link to the art shop I use in the UK to buy my large tubes of watercolour paint.
If you are signed up to my newsletter, you will hear about my other workshops as I decide on them. Workshops for next year will be posted on my website towards the end of the year. Next year I am offering a workshop in Fiji and of course my Croatian tour (which is a relaxing holiday with some painting thrown in).
The Croatian tour is more relaxed and casual and is still my favourite thing in the year (even after 18 years)
You can find out more about the Croatian tour here.
* PLEASE NOTE: ALL NOTES ARE COPYRIGHT OF CHARLES SLUGA. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE. THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 28 JUNE 2019.

HOW TO CHANGE THE COLOUR DIMENSIONS
A summary of different ways to change the dimensions of colour
I was going to add my colour wheel, but I think this one is better. I have marked the position of a few of my colours in red. However, you will probably be able to figure out where your colours should go.

MY PALETTE ORDER
Remember, this is my order. You can have any order you like, but keep it the same all the time
Here is the huge list of complimentary colours according to the handprint website. Remember to ignore the brands. It is just to give you an idea of possible colours to try.
As promised here is the article on painting water that I covered in class.
