Welcome to this exciting workshop! Get ready to delve into a world of creativity and growth as we explore 10 essential ideas and skills that I truly believe every artist needs to move forward. Consider these as my personal top 10, which we will thoroughly discuss throughout the week. Our focus will be on the highlights from all my workshops, including topics such as light, compositional guidelines, color tips, technical advice, and so much more. This immersive week is not just about advancing your watercolor skills, but also about helping you discover your unique artistic voice. Book a spot for this fantastic mix of essentials!

WHO IS IT FOR?

  • For those who want to explore new subject matter.

  • For those who realise there is more to painting than copying what is in front of you.

  • For those who want to take their painting to a higher level.

  • For those who just know there has to be more to painting than producing a pretty picture.

  • For those who want to work at a deeper and more satisfying (and yes, more difficult) level.

  • For those who want to get out of a rut.

  • For those who want to bring a little freshness to their work.

  • This class is based around watercolour, but may include some mixed media.

  • This is not a class for beginners and it is expected that you have some experience with watercolours.

  • Please note - Participants must be 18 years old or over.
       

CLASS SIZE

Maximum class size is 10 and a minimum of 6 is required for the workshop to proceed.

EQUIPMENT

You will most likely already have appropriate watercolour equipment.
For interest here is my general list of materials.
Note: you don't need to rush out and buy these as it is just a guide. Just bring what you usually use
(you can also include gouache, pencils, pens and/or markers if you like for any mixed media work we do).

NOTE: For this workshop it is also highly recommended that you have a camera, phone and/or tablet/laptop as you will at times be working from photos taken in class, or photos you already have.

  • Price: $850 inc GST (includes tuition and morning tea).

  • Cancellations received in writing 60 days (or more) before the workshop will receive a total refund

  • Cancellations within 30 to 60 days of the workshop wil receive 50% refund

  • Cancellations within 30 days will forfeit the workshop fee

  • There is no option to transfer to another workshop unless your place can be resold

  • There are strictly NO exceptions to the above conditions

WHERE IS YACKANDANDAH?

 

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Accommodation, travel and meals are at your own expense.

There are two motels in the township - Yackandandah Central (which is very close to my Gallery) and Motel Views Yackandandah.
There are several B&B’s in the Yackandandah area including the very close and cosy “The Stonebridge Studio” which features some of my prints :). For a cabin in a pretty caravan park, you can stay at the Yackandandah Holiday Park.

Nearby Beechworth (about 20 minutes drive) is also an option, with Artscape Cottage being a lovely option - good for arty people.

If you wish to investigate accommodation possibilities, you could simply google. There are places to stay in Albury/Wodonga, Beechworth or Yackandandah.
