DESCRIPTION

Discover the versatility of gouache painting in this beginner-friendly workshop. It’s designed for complete newcomers—no experience, talent, or materials required. All supplies will be provided for you to use throughout the session.

Gouache is an accessible, forgiving medium (often easier than watercolour) and produces a beautiful matte finish. Because it’s water-based, it also pairs wonderfully with watercolours.

So if you’re curious but unsure where to start, this is the perfect place. Maybe you’re not even certain what gouache is—or how to pronounce it 😁—but don’t worry, we’ll cover that too.

We begin right at the basics, assuming no prior knowledge. You’ll learn about your materials and equipment, explore essential gouache techniques, and discover the key building blocks of creating an image. We’ll also establish the right mindset to help you start strong. Consider this your launchpad into the colourful, creative, and wonderfully versatile world of gouache painting.
