Discover Your Artistic Voice: An Immersive Workshop
What makes a painting truly yours? Dive into a workshop that goes beyond technique—explore, reflect, and uncover the hidden voice behind your art.
Have you ever felt that your artwork is missing something—an essence that makes it truly yours? That it doesn’t fully capture who you are or your unique perspective? You are not alone. Many artists experience this, and it often stems from not having explored the deeper questions behind their work: Who am I as an artist? Why am I creating this piece? How can I express my true self through art?
This workshop is my most ambitious yet, designed to help you uncover your individual artistic voice. We will go beyond technique and focus on what makes your work uniquely yours—your artistic integrity, your visual language, and the essence of your creative identity.
Through a combination of journaling, experimentation, exercises, discussions, and thought-provoking readings, we will explore these fundamental questions. This process is not about developing a particular style—it’s about discovering your voice. What makes your work unmistakably yours, rather than just another image in the crowd?
While you will certainly paint, sketch, and create throughout the workshop, the core of our time will be dedicated to reflection, exploration, and discovery. By the end, you will leave not only with new artwork but with a clearer understanding of what drives your creativity and how to communicate it through your art.
NOTE: In this workshop, you are not limited to watercolour and may use any medium that you choose (except for oils)
WHO IS IT FOR?

For those that feel like their work is not individual.
For those who are feeling like they are in a rut.
For those with intermediate to advanced level of experience (not suitable for beginners)
For those who may be stuck in their ways and wish to break free.
For those who want to find their mojo or new inspiration.
For those who have trouble deciding what to paint.
For those who are happy to take risks and experiment a little.
For those who know painting is more than just copying a scene as it is.
Please note - participants must be 18 years old or over.
CLASS SIZE
Maximum class size is 10 and a minimum of 6 is required for the workshop to proceed.
EQUIPMENT
Since this workshop is not aimed at beginners I will presume that you have some art equipment, so the suggestion here is just bring what you normally use. Also since this workshop is not really about technique (although that will also be discussed), but more about the thinking and ideas behind painting you are not restricted to watercolours. You can choose to work in any medium apart from oils or pastels.
I will also be in touch closer to the time to suggest what else you may wish to bring to the workshop.
